In memory of Ngawang
In December 2025, Mr. Ngawang Gelje Sherpa passed away, leaving behind his wife, Mrs. Sukubari Rai, and their two young daughters, Ngima Lamu and Nancy.
Ngawang was a trekking guide by profession and the main source of income for his family. He worked with people from around the world and was known to many as a trusted and kindhearted person.
His death has left his family facing an uncertain future. Today, Sukubari, aged 39, is caring for her two daughters in Kathmandu without a regular source of income or family property to rely on.
A bridge from crisis to independence
We believe that the family needs approximately five years of support, from 2026 to 2031, to reach a point where they can manage their daily lives independently. The purpose of this campaign is not simply to provide ongoing assistance. It is to create a bridge from crisis to independence.
